She was originally from Astragal, but like many Zoldo girls she worked in an ice cream shop in Nuremberg

VAL DI ZOLDO. Zoldo ice cream maker dies at 31. Jessica Toldo had an incurable disease and had been admitted to the Nordklinikum hospital in Nuremberg, Bavaria. She was originally from Astragal, but like many Zoldo girls she worked in an ice cream shop in Germany, after having learned the trade from her parents. She and her sweet smile moved, with all-Italian professionalism, behind the counter of the Eisboutique Bedolli, in the Eibach district.

In recent times she was ill and died on January 21, after an illness as short as it was merciless. The body arrived only the day before yesterday in Val di Zoldo for the funeral, after a whole series of bureaucratic acts to attend to. The owners of the restaurant have remembered her with a public message. «In our name and in the name of the Toldo family, we thank all those who participated in our mourning. In March we will be doing a friend and customer service and a fundraiser. According to the wish of the Toldo family, the proceeds will benefit the Nordklinikum in Nuremberg, which has lovingly taken care of Jessica. We thank all those who want to participate. Thank you with all my heart”.

Mayor Camillo De Pellegrin stunned: «I did not know her personally, but I am well aware of her family, starting with her father Rino and her mother Daniela. A very decent family, which has been hit by what is a tragedy. Jessica was very young and seemed in good health, unfortunately she was hit by this bad disease and she was gone in a short time. It seems incredible that such a thing could happen. The sorrow is great for all the people of the valley ».

In addition to mom and dad, Jessica Toldo leaves her brother Luca. The family also thanks Dr. Miljana Vladimirov, who cared so much for their girlfriend.
