Heroes go home | veterans salute their comrades home
“Comrades and comrades, I miss you for so many years,” said Sun Jingkun, a veteran of the Volunteer Army, shaking.
In 1950, they were young, arrogant and proud, crossing the Yalu River.
“I will never forget the place where they sacrificed.” said Bai Qinglin, a volunteer veteran soldier.

The heroic Chinese People’s Volunteers held high the banner of justice for defending peace and resisting aggression, crossed the Yalu River, and worked with the Korean people and army for two years and nine months of arduous and bloody battles and won the great victory of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea.
This battle resulted in a sound and peaceful homeland, but some of the sacrificed comrades in arms were buried in other places.
From 2014 to 2020, the Shenyang Anti-US Aggression and Aid Korea Martyrs Cemetery held a total of 7 batches of burial ceremonies for the remains of Chinese People’s Volunteers in South Korea. Under the underground palace on the north side of the cemetery, 716 coffins of the remains of Chinese People’s Volunteers in South Korea were buried.
“We have fought side by side to defend our home and country. Although I don’t remember their names, we are all comrades-in-arms and relatives.” said Li Weibo, a veteran of the Volunteer Army.
On September 2, 2021, the remains of the eighth batch of Volunteer soldiers will be handed over at Incheon International Airport in South Korea. After arriving in Shenyang, they will be buried in the cemetery of the Martyrs to Resist US Aid Korea.
On the land of the motherland, they sleep more peacefully.
