We will make the cycle / pedestrian ring along the lake of the Centro Cadore: the money is there

1.8 million euros arrive from the Border Funds. The budget for the works is completed, although it will still take some time to start. The president of the mountain union Svaluto Ferro: “A clear sign of the goodness of the project”

PIEVE DI CADORE. Centro Cadore takes another step forward towards the fulfillment of the great dream represented by the realization of the cycle and pedestrian ring along the lake. A shower of money, 1.8 million from the funds of the neighboring municipalities, which will allow the administrators of the territory to close the project on which they have been working for some time. The allocation of funds makes it possible to complete the budget foreseen for the construction of the works, mainly concentrated on the left bank of the water basin, from Miralago to Vallesella where the futuristic campsite of Happacher will be built.

“There is great satisfaction for yet another important result brought home”, underlined the president of the Centro Cadore mountain union, Pier Luigi Svaluto Ferro, “the contribution is the leader among those approved for the province of Belluno affected by municipal funds neighbors and is the one that has the largest financial component. These are clear signs of the goodness of the project which, now, with due time, will finally be able to take the first steps towards its realization ».

Together with the components of the Mountain Union, the representatives of the Municipalities concerned, Perarolo, Pieve, Lorenzago and Domegge in primis, also rejoice. Four municipalities that have joined the project by publicly giving the ok to the transfer of their part relating to border funds in the coffers of the Centro Cadore UM.

Each of the four municipalities mentioned will now bring the topic “lakeside cycle / pedestrian ring” to the municipal council, sharing it with the rest of the population.

“This money is added to what we had already managed to put aside, always drawing it from public funds”, added Svaluto Ferro, “I would like to thank those behind the scenes, without fanfare and without proclamations, who worked hard in these months to be able to ensure the proper closing of the circle. There is a component of professionals who know how to do their job very well and the results achieved are confirmation of this. Never before has the Centro Cadore been able to draw on a large part of public funding as in this period ».

With the money said, it’s time to start planning.

«The times are long and still indefinite», Svaluto warns, «the bureaucratic procedure is complex; for our part we have relied on the technical offices of the municipalities involved in the project in order to speed up as much as possible what can be speeded up in order to start the work in the shortest possible time. As mentioned, the priority is concentrated on the orographic left of the lake, or in the part that is currently entirely uncovered. Then we’ll think about something else. The money available (almost six million, ndr) will allow us to do almost everything but not everything. For example, the work on the bridge over the Molinà river remains uncovered, which we plan to take home anyway. The Vallesella bridge? It is not the competence of Um Centro Cadore ».
