Sylvester Track, Plan de Corones
The Sylvester Track Crowns Plan, one of the most renowned areas near Brunico, is famous among skiers because it is quite complicated from a technical point of view, but also offers beautiful views. In fact, it starts from 2271 meters and reaches 975. The length is almost close to 5 kilometersand its northern exposure guarantees optimal quality snow for most of the ski season.
To reach the Sylvester Track you can start from Brunico and take the 1 + 2 cable car, which allows you to tackle even just the final stretch of the track. Alternatively, take Kronplatz 2000. Near the famous track is the borgo already mentioned, but also the MMM Museum which – with its futuristic design – is among the things to see at Plan de Corones.
Trametsch track, Plose
The Trametsch track, is one of the longest slopes in Alto Adige and Dolomiti Superski. With its 9 kilometers and almost 1400 meters of altitude difference, it stands out for being a challenging track, but also very fun. We leave, to reach it, from Sant’Andrea in Monte: from here you will have to take the cable car and first go along the Plose slope. Only at the end will you be able to start the Trametsch slope.
You will then arrive in Sant’Andrea directly on skis after having overcome several challenging curves. The track, given its size, is also visible from the valley floor and from the city of Bressanone. The ideal place to visit after skiing, as here you will find the beautiful Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and the typical porticoed streets.
Pista Oberholz, Obereggen
According to many, the Oberholz slope is one of the most beautiful in Obereggen. This slope is in fact among the longest in the Latemar complex and boasts a height difference of 600 metres. To reach it you will have to use the chairlift, which takes you to the top in a matter of minutes.
Characterized by wide curves and sections that allow you to pick up speed, the Oberholz track it is absolutely not trivial, given that it offers the expert skier walls to climb over, changes in slope and bumps. Given the efficiency of the cable car, it is also possible to do several tests before finding the ideal way to travel along it while having fun.
Agnello Track, Pampeago
In Val di Fiemme, and to be precise in the Pampeago ski area, the Lamb track with its infinite variations it is ideal for experimenting with descents on a not too demanding black slope. This route, suitable for intermediate level skiers, winds through an alpine environment of rare beauty. The difference in altitude is approximately 420 metres (it starts from 2180 meters and ends at 1760), while the length is 2.55 kilometers.
What makes this slope one of the most beautiful in Dolomiti Superski is the RespirArt Art Park. Around the route it is in fact possible to see many works of contemporary art installed in the woods. Created by different artists every year, it’s like walking through a museum with skis on. For the rest, the mountain resort also offers opportunities for night skiing and sledding.
Pista Saslong, Santa Cristina Valgardena
The Saslong slope, located in Santa Cristina Val Gardena, is included among Le Leggendarie 8, that is the most beautiful slopes in Val Gardena. This route, which winds for over 3.5 km along the Sassolungo massif, promises strong emotions thanks to the 600 meter difference in altitude. The arrival point is then directly in the village, from where you can take a cable car back up.
Remaining in Val Gardena, it is also worth mentioning the Falk Tracka quiet track of approx 2 kilometers. Its peculiarity lies not so much in the characteristics of the track, but in the fact that it was one of the first to be built in the 1940s.
Gran Risa Track, Alta Badia
In La Villa, a beautiful town in Alta Badia, you cannot miss the Gran Risa slope, known above all for being one of the stages of the Ski World Cup. This route, which has a gradient of 677 meters and is part of the Sellaronda, winds through the enchanting landscapes of the Dolomites, offering an exciting challenge for expert skiers. You can get there via the Piz La Ila cable carwhich leads directly to the entrance to the slope.
Characterized by an alternation of S-shaped passages and difficult sections, the Big Laughter it then branches into two variations: the one known for the world championships is the black 17. At a certain point you will enter directly into dense woods until you reach the finish line. In the center of town, after skiing, also consider seeing the Ciastel Colz and the Church of Santa Maria Assunta.
