The mayor continues adding that the conversation had as its main axis the financing of means of transportation at the national level, focusing on the city of Bogotá, where according to him, currently the Integrated Public Transportation System (SITP), has a deficit of approximately 2 .9 billion pesos.
According to this, mime Galán assured that of the city’s annual budget, 10% will be allocated to address this gap that is the difference between the payment of the fee and the cost of the operation.
About the Bogotá Metro
One of the points in which Gustavo Petro and Carlos Fernando Galán differ the most is the metro model for the Colombian capital. Petro has been reiterative in his idea that it be underground and that the studies carried out in his mayor’s office be used; However, Galán has adopted a position of continuing what has already been signed.
Precisely, in this meeting Galán commented: “Everyone already knows the position that the president has, they know the position that I have, we expressed them in the meeting. Making it clear that I have a mandate and citizen commitment with those who accompanied me in the electoral process , to guarantee that this metro, line one, comes to fruition and we are going to continue working on that.
