According to CCTV news, as of 12:00 noon on April 2, Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province has reported a total of 49 positive cases in this round of local initial screening, of which 11 were confirmed cases, all of which were mild, and the others were asymptomatic infections. At present, these people are all in isolation, observation and treatment in designated city-level hospitals, and their condition is stable.
Since April 1, under the careful guidance of the provincial and municipal expert groups and the joint efforts of all sectors of society, Xuzhou has focused on the following aspects:
First, strictly implement control measures. According to the needs of epidemic prevention and control, timely delineate and adjust the scope of closed control areas, control areas, and prevention areas. Up to now, Xuzhou City has designated 102 closed areas, 32 control areas, and 8 prevention areas. In accordance with the relevant requirements of “staying at home” in the closed and controlled areas and “people not in the area” in the control areas, strictly implement control measures, coordinate the terminal disinfection and environmental disinfection of key places, and strictly prevent community transmission and risk spillover.

Areas and other key populations should be sampled and tested to detect possible positive infections as soon as possible, so as to gain time for the traceability and investigation and control of epidemiology. As of 12:00 noon on April 2, a total of 1.4539 million people were sampled in this round.
The third is to carry out in-depth flow regulation traceability. Quickly lock and accurately track key personnel such as close contacts and sub-close contacts, conduct in-depth investigations of risk groups, and make every effort to curb the internal spread of the epidemic. As of 12:00 noon on April 2, a total of 3,459 close contacts and 7,746 second-close contacts have been investigated, and control measures have been implemented in accordance with regulations.
Fourth, do our best to ensure service. In order to ensure the supply of living materials in the main urban area, actively organize and coordinate the supply of goods in the surrounding areas, and open up the transportation channels for meat, poultry, eggs and other materials to meet the living needs of the masses. During the epidemic prevention and control period, there were relatively many problems reported by the masses. In order to respond to people’s livelihood demands in a timely manner, the municipal headquarters set up a special class for emergency rescue services to accept and solve the people’s difficult demands during the epidemic prevention and control period, and return visits and feedback on the handling situation, forming a closed work loop.
