“The division of Taiwan independence is the biggest obstacle to the reunification of the motherland and a serious hidden danger to national rejuvenation.” Without understanding this logic, division and reunification are opposites. The Taiwan issue reveals the dilemma of the CCP’s negation and inheritance
Regarding what Xi Jinping said, “We adhere to the basic policy of’peaceful reunification, one country, two systems’, adhere to the one-China principle and the ’92 Consensus’, and promote the peaceful development of cross-strait relations.” “The Taiwan issue is purely China’s internal affairs and does not allow any foreign interference. “
Taiwan’s Presidential Office spokesperson Zhang Dunhan responded tit-for-tat, “The Republic of China is a sovereign and independent country, not part of the People’s Republic of China”; “The 1911 Revolution established 110 years ago was a democratic republic, not an authoritarian dictatorship, which is also realized in Taiwan today. The current situation in Hong Kong proves that China’s abandonment of its promise of’unchanging for 50 years’ also proves that’one country, two systems’ is not feasible.”
To explain, the People’s Republic of China has never ruled Taiwan, not for a second. Purely internal affairs are wishful thinking. The problem is the inheritance of the legality of governance. The CCP believes that the legal basis of sovereignty, including Taiwan, is the Republic of China, and the People’s Republic of China is a denial of the Republic of China and all previous dynasties instead of Inheritance, the CCP’s propaganda has this kind of self-contradiction. Back to Taiwan, Taiwan is still the Republic of China. This regime has not been interrupted from 1911 until now. It’s that simple. As for one country, two systems, Hong Kong can still talk about one country, two systems without changing its face. What’s interesting is that Tsai Ing-wen’s speech on Double Ten also has the meaning of fine-tuning and gentler than before.
However, compared to the recent military reunification and fighter disturbances, Xi Jinping’s speech is relatively low-key, still talking about peaceful reunification. This should be related to the attitude of the United States. For the CCP, it is also necessary to avoid such things from happening again in the future. U.S. Circuit Court temporarily releases Texas heartbeat bill, conservatives get one point
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit overturned the injunction of the lower court and temporarily restored Texas’s severest heartbeat bill. As mentioned before, Texas recently passed the most stringent anti-abortion law, the “Heartbeat Act”, which means that abortion can no longer be performed when the heartbeat of the fetus is measured, and this can be as early as 6 weeks after pregnancy.
Previously, the Supreme Court ruled that abortion is not allowed after the fetus can survive outside the body, generally after 24 to 28 weeks. Some conservative red states have passed similar bills before, but they have been banned by the courts and have not been implemented. So this time, Texas’s are very concerned. If the courts cannot ban it, it will be encouraging to other red states. It is generally estimated that the lawsuit will be final. It will go to the Supreme Court to challenge the Law v. Wade case in 1973, which is considered to be the most critical ruling in the legalization of abortion in the United States.
Abortion is one of the focal points of controversy between conservatives and liberals in the United States. This is related to the universal Christian belief of the American people.
After the passage of the Texas bill, the abortion rights organization asked the Supreme Court to intervene to prevent the implementation, but the Supreme Court ruled not to intervene during the legal proceedings, which means that the bill can continue.
