BATTIPAGLIA – Black smoke: Battipaglia will remain for another without football. Antonio De Sarlo turns around and renounces the investment. The agreement, entered into with the owner of Virtus Cilento, Carmelo Infante, has been canceled. The purchase of the title of the Cilento team would have allowed, through a merger with the current one of Battipagliese which is theoretically registered in the First Category championship, to bring the club directly to Excellence. A story that begins in May, when De Sarlo asked the sports director Sergio Picarone to take an interest in buying a title of Excellence or Serie D to merge them. After some research, the name of Virtus Cilento came out, owned by Carmelo Infante.
