Xinhua News Agency, Guangzhou, March 29 (Reporters Wang Haoming and Zhao Ziyu) – In the 49th round of the 2023-2024 Chinese Men’s Basketball Professional League (CBA) regular season, the Guangdong team stamped their authority by defeating the Guangsha team with a resounding 131-78 victory, extending their winning streak to an impressive 10 games.
Playing at home, the Guangdong team came out strong from the start, scoring 43 points in the first quarter while holding the Guangsha team to only 17 points. The dominance continued into the second quarter, with Guangdong taking a commanding 73-35 lead at halftime, effectively putting the game out of reach early on.
Six players from the Guangdong team scored in double figures, with Zhang Mingchi leading the charge with 24 points, while only three players from the Guangsha team managed to reach double-digit scoring.

In another crucial matchup with playoff implications, the Tongxi team edged out the Shanxi team in a tight contest, winning 123-122 thanks to Wang Lanyi’s clutch shot in the final moments, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
In the remaining two games, the Beijing team emerged victorious over the Jilin team with a score of 113-104, while the Guangzhou team narrowly defeated the Tianjin team 103-99.
With their dominant performance over Guangsha, Guangdong has solidified their position as a force to be reckoned with in the CBA, marking a promising streak as they head into the postseason.
