Salerno is one of the protagonists of the regional championship Antonio Castorino, last year not qualified for the European Championships by a whisker. Castorino, engaged in the first phase of the season and already close to the National figure skating tour, reached an excellent third place and is now preparing to experience the national stages scheduled in Rimini this summer. Excellent placement for another Salerno woman, the young woman Laura Amato who, thanks to a superlative first place, will also be involved in the Italian Championship Finals. «We are collecting excellent results, we hope that this year something can also materialize in the perspective of the European Championship. To the good placings of Antonio Castorino and Laura Amato are added the prestigious results of the very young athletes of the beginners and pupils categories, in the third and last phase of the Regional championship. This is respectively the gold medal Benedetta Rescigno and Bronze Jennifer Celano, both admitted to the national finals. Eyes also focused on the ten “Mini athletes and athletes” who on 12 and 13 June will descend on the track of the SC Edenlandia skating rink in Naples on the occasion of the “Youth Trophy” organized by the Italian Federation of Roller Sports of the Campania Region: «We hope to obtain excellent results – says the president Judge – Thanks go to the coaches Margherita Christmas e Giuseppe Simone Scala for the excellent work they are doing with the aim of bringing young and very young Roller athletes to ever higher levels ».
