Milan, 30 December 2021 – The return to 50% of stadium capacity and the new wave of Covid-19 that has hit Italy could also have repercussions on Italian football super cup: the match between Inter and Juventus, scheduled at San Siro on 12 January, could in fact be postponed to the end of the season. These would be the two reasons that led Juventus and Inter to think about postponing the game for a few months, when the Covid-19 situation could have calmed down again and a larger audience of spectators could be allowed to watch the match in the stands. The societies they would in fact have already reached an agreement which will be ratified by the Serie A League.
The Serie A League denies for now
The League itself, however, at least for the moment has denied the possibility of a postponement of the event, passing the ball to the League Council which should meet in the next few days: “In the face of rumors that have appeared in the last few hours, Lega Serie A – in fact, an official note issued on Twitter reads – confirms that the Supercoppa Frecciarossa match remains scheduled for January 12, 2022, unless otherwise decided by the Lega Council “. What is certain is that at least for now the sale of tickets has been suspended, waiting to also understand what the final capacity allowed will be, in the coming days, however, definitive news are expected with the postponement hypothesis that remains firmly standing.
