Pedro Rocha has cleared the last administrative obstacles to become president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation. As expected, the TAD (Sports Administrative Court) issued a forceful verdict that put an end to any type of last-minute obstacle.
The TAD issued a lengthy verdict in which it rejected the three possible petitions to hinder Pedro Rocha’s path to the presidency of the RFEF. Firstly, it denies the precautionary suspension of the elections. Next, he also dismisses the appeal filed to the electoral process and, finally, the precautionary measure for the presentation of the candidacies for the presidency of the federation is denied.
The TAD verdict ends the aspirations of the different appeals filed by Miguel Ángel Galán, Wenceslao Alonso and Javier González.
At this time, and taking into account that Pedro Rocha’s candidacy has been the only one capable of presenting the minimum required guarantees, it can now be guaranteed that Pedro Rocha will be formally chosen as the head of the RFEF.
It is about ending a process marked without a doubt by the entire scandal that surrounded the departure of former president Luis Rubiales.
