Alianza Lima, Universitario, César Vallejo, and Garcilaso have been unveiled as the teams set to face off in the upcoming international tournaments in the group stage.
In the Copa Libertadores, the group stage draw has been revealed with a total of 32 teams set to compete. Alianza Lima and Universitario de Deportes will represent Peru in the tournament. They will be joined by other prominent clubs from across South America such as Fluminense, Sao Paulo, Gremio, LDU Quito, and more.
Both Peruvian clubs will be aiming to progress past the group stage and secure a spot in the knockout rounds. The draw for the Copa Libertadores group stage will take place today, Monday, March 18, at the Conmebol headquarters in Luque, Paraguay. The drawing will begin at 6 pm and can be watched on ESPN, DSports, Starplus, and official Conmebol channels on YouTube.
Additionally, the groups for the Copa Sudamericana will also be formed today, with César Vallejo and Deportivo Garcilaso participating. Vallejo, led by Paolo Guerrero, is in bowl 3, while the Cusco-based team is in bowl 4.
