The Miami Heat are considered to be in a good position to acquire an NBA star in the near future, leveraging their arsenal of assets and the organization’s appeal to the league’s All-Stars.
“Miami is always in an advantageous position, especially when it comes to players with little time left on their contracts,” Adrian Wojnarowski said before the Heat’s Game 1 loss to the Boston Celtics.
“A year or two. And they tell their team, ‘I want to get traded to the Heat, and if you don’t send me to Miami, I’ll become a free agent and go somewhere else. Don’t trade me to that team or that team.’
While Wojnarowski didn’t specifically mention any names, one player who seems to fit the description is Donovan Mitchell.
