Sébastien Grosjean, on his role for the Davis Cup: “Always proud to be in this position”

Sébastien Grosjean has reacted to the decision of the French Tennis Federation (FFT) to remove him from the role of Davis Cup coach for the France team. “There was a press release from the French Tennis Federation. The selection model will change a little bit, but I will remain captain, ”said the former world No. 4 on beIN Sports.

Grosjean explained how the players who will compete in the Davis Cup will be chosen. “There will be a selection that will be made by the DTN and the president of the French Tennis Federation,” he explained. The selection will therefore be made by Nicolas Escudé, DTN, and Gilles Moretton, president of the FFT.

Also asked about the possibility that he will no longer be captain of the French Davis Cup team after this decision, Sébastien Grosjean denied this possibility. “There is always pride in being in this position. We started this campaign in February and we have to go to the end, ”concluded the man who has been captain of the Blues since December 2018.
