The Kenyan Bernard Musau Wambua (athletics winner Foligno) on Sunday won in record time the fifth edition of the road race “Nove Miglia alladiese” valid as the fourth Daniele Ferrando memorial over a distance of 15 kilometers.

Over three hundred competitors at the starting line; the event was organized by the Peretti Team. It took the winner to complete the demanding route – very treacherous in the final part with several ups and downs – with a time of 45 ’54 ”.

The previous record belonged to Renè Cuneaz from the Aosta Valley and was established in the last edition, that of 2021: 46 ’52 ”. Five Kenyans and one Moroccan arrived in the top ten of the overall ranking, behind Wambua was placed Razime Marouan of the Army; on the third step the winner of the past edition Renè Cuneaz (Cus Pro Patria Milan) arrived ten seconds behind the winner. In fourth and fifth place two Kenyan athletes, in order Robert Yegon Kiplangat of Iaaf Kenya followed by compatriot Lolkurraru Lengen.

Of the Canavese the best was Cuceglio’s athlete Michael Zagato of Cus Pro Patria Milan who finished fourteenth but good performances for Paolo Boggio and Vezio Boggio both of athletics Santhià who arrived fifteenth and sixteenth.

In the women’s field, first three places for athletes from Kenya and an Ethiopian in fourth place. First to cross the finish line Lucy Mawya Muli of the Lamamri sports group came seventeenth overall with a time of 52 ’23 ”.
