The 5th China Urban Children’s Football League Kicks Off with Excitement
Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, April 6th. The fifth “China Football Development Foundation Cup” China Urban Children’s Football League officially commenced with a grand opening ceremony on the 6th at Binjiang Sports Park in Changsha City, Hunan Province. This highly anticipated event is jointly guided by the Youth Sports Department of the State Sports General Administration and the Chinese Football Association, supported by the China Football Development Foundation, and hosted by the National Youth Sports Federation.
In the captivating opening match of the day, the Maple Mountain Nanping Jinyuan Primary School team in the U10 group exhibited exceptional skills as they drew 1:1 with the Changjun Yuwai team. The league encompasses five age groups from U8 to U12 and will consist of over 17 rounds with more than 6,000 games. Over 750 teams and 15,000 athletes from 15 divisions nationwide are set to partake in this thrilling competition.
The winning teams in each division will receive exclusive training opportunities to participate in the “Championship Training Camp,” fostering the growth and development of young football talents. Additionally, the organizing committee will conduct a series of public welfare activities under the theme “Sunshine Football Dream” alongside each competition area, promoting the spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship, and community engagement.
Since its inception in 2018, the China Urban Children’s Football League has seen remarkable success, expanding from 10 to 15 competition areas and steadily growing in popularity and influence. With the unwavering support of various sports organizations and the enthusiastic participation of young athletes, this year’s league promises to be another thrilling showcase of talent and dedication.
