VILLORBA
Catena has always been a country of cycling enthusiasts. The Catena Cycling Group, in particular, was born on 18 December 1981, from the ashes of the former CTM company, responding to a request from a group of cycling lovers. In 2021 the team managed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its foundation, a recognition also awarded by the Italian Cycling Federation – Treviso provincial committee, during the Marca Cycling Festival. During the social lunch, in the presence of the authorities, it was time for the president, Valerio Bredariol, to reward his predecessors and thank the sponsors and members who made it possible to achieve this goal.
The group now has 50 members of all ages, who participate in the events scheduled annually. The main activity is Sunday outings which, over the years, have been accompanied by the organization and participation in national and international competitions and events.
After the suspension of all activities due to the Covid emergency in 2020, this year the athletes of the GC Catena distinguished themselves in the challenges of the regional amateur cycling tournament “Criterium Veneto” and took part in some important events for cyclists, such as the Granfondo Pinarello in the provincial territory and the Nove Colli in Romagna.
