The General Administration of Sports Hosts 2024 New Year’s Institutional Basketball Friendly Tournament
On January 19, the trade union of agencies directly under the State Sports General Administration held a 2024 New Year friendly agency basketball match at the Training Bureau. The event, aimed at enriching the amateur cultural life of cadres and employees, was attended by Wang Ruilian, deputy secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the General Administration, who also kicked off the game. Li Yingchuan, member of the Party Leadership Group of the General Administration and deputy director, led the team to play, while Zhou Jinqiang, member of the Party Leadership Group of the General Administration and deputy director, watched the game on site. More than 80 civil servants, seconded personnel, and services from the agency Center staff participated in the event.
The friendly tournament, which featured three participating teams composed of both men and women, saw the teams competing in pairs. To add to the excitement, a relay dribbling competition and a fun shooting competition were also set up during the event. The half-day event culminated successfully with cheers, hard work, and spirited competition, with representatives of cadres and employees from various departments of the agency actively participating and achieving great results. Participants expressed their commitment to continue embodying the spirit of entrepreneurialism in the new year and make new contributions to the development of sports.
Notably, the “sports + Internet + technology” model was employed for the first time in the activities of the General Administration, with “Wo’ao Basketball” broadcasting the entire competition live and providing high-definition replays. The online platform also showcased the schedule, game conditions, player statistics, and other relevant information, further raising the bar for the service guarantee level of the game.
