Tianjin pairs skating team ranks third in short program – Culture and Entertainment – China Engineering Network

The 14th Winter figure skating open group individual competition kicked off yesterday, showcasing the talent and skills of top skaters from across the country. Tianjin pairs skating team, Zhang Jiaxuan and Huang Yihang, put on a strong performance in the short program and secured a commendable third place.

Competing against tough opponents, Zhang Jiaxuan and Huang Yihang scored 65.90 points in the pairs short program, earning them a spot on the podium. The Beijing pair of Peng Cheng and Wang Lei claimed the top position with 71.77 points, followed by the Heilongjiang pair of Zhang Siyang and Yang Yongchao in second place with 66.15 points.

In the ice dance rhythmic dance competition, Tianjin’s Cao Lushang and Chen Jianxu finished in 8th place with 50.90 points. The Beijing duo of Wang Shiyue and Liu Xinyu dominated the competition with an impressive score of 78.17 points.

Meanwhile, in the women’s curling open group round-robin competition, the Tianjin team secured a victory against the Shanxi team with a score of 7:4, marking their second consecutive win in the tournament.

In the cross-country skiing open group events, Tianjin athletes also made their mark on the field. Wang Ye, a young player, finished in 18th place in the men’s 50-kilometer collective start (traditional technology) competition. The gold medal in the women’s 30km collective start (traditional technique) event went to Li Xin of the Heilongjiang team.

As the competition heats up at the 14th Winter Games, spectators can expect more thrilling performances and exciting outcomes in the days to come.
