Brussels, 3 March 2022 – After a drastic drop in the last few hours, i Russian gas flows through the pipeline Yamal-Europe to Germany via Poland are there interrupted. This was reported by various international media citing data from the pipeline operator, the German company Gascade. Yamal is one of the three pipelines running there Russian monopoly company Gazprom it uses to convey its natural gas to Europe. About 10% of total gas supplies from Russia pass through it.
The first gas stop from Russia to Germany, even if it is the pipeline that Yamal supplies only 10% of the country’s needs, weighs on the markets.
