AMDās Radeon RX 7600 XT Gets an Upgrade for Entry-level 1440p Gaming
When it comes to graphics cards, the competition between AMD and NVIDIA continues to heat up. While NVIDIA has recently launched āSuperā versions of three of its mid-to-high-end graphics cards, AMD has been relatively quiet in comparison. However, the company has recently updated its Radeon RX 7600 to create the new Radeon RX 7600 XT.
The original RX 7600 was primarily targeted at high-end 1080p games, but with the upgrade to 16GB of VRAM and an increase in core frequency, the RX 7600 XT has become the go-to choice for entry-level 1440p gaming. The updated graphics card retains the original 32 computing units, 64 AI accelerators, and 2,048 stream processors, but now boasts a higher clock speed ranging from 2.47GHz to 2.76GHz.
The increase in VRAM from 8GB to 16GB also provides additional support for the texture files required for 1440p games. According to AMDās tests, the 7600XT has shown significant improvements in performance compared to the original 7600, particularly at 1440p. In āForza Horizon 5,ā the RX 7600 XT reached 81fps, while the 7600 only managed 56fps.
The Radeon RX 7600 XT is expected to hit the market on January 24 with an estimated price in the range of US$329. As the competition in the graphics card market intensifies, it will be interesting to see how AMDās new offering will fare against NVIDIAās latest āSuperā versions.
