AMD’s upcoming RDNA 4 GPU architecture may have been prematurely leaked online, revealing some intriguing details about the highly anticipated release. While it is uncertain if the RDNA 4 GPUs will actually hit the market in 2024, reports on the X platform suggest that the information aligns closely with AMD’s current plans.
The leaked information points to two potential product plans for the RDNA 4 architecture, namely Navi 48 and Navi 44. Navi 48 is said to feature 64 Compute Units, a 256-bit memory interface, and a memory bandwidth of 693 GB/s (equivalent to 2770GB/s). The GPU chip area is reported to be around 240mm², positioning it as a potential successor to the Radeon RX 7800 XT.
On the other hand, Navi 44 is projected to have 32 Compute Units, a 128-bit memory interface, and a memory bandwidth of 288GB/s, with a smaller GPU chip area of approximately 130mm². This variant is expected to replace the Radeon RX 7600 in AMD’s lineup.
While the leaked information also suggests that the RDNA 4 architecture will support PCIe Gen 5 and maintain a GDDR6 memory configuration, further details are likely to emerge as the launch date approaches. AMD enthusiasts and tech enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating more news and updates on the RDNA 4 GPUs in the coming months.
