Warner Bros. Nears Decision on Supergirl Casting
After conducting screen tests for four actresses to play Supergirl, Warner Bros. has narrowed it down to two potential leading ladies. Millie Alcock and Meg Donnelly are the final contenders for the important role in the new DC Universe.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the screen tests led by DCU bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran have resulted in Alcock and Donnelly emerging as the top choices for the iconic character.
Supergirl is set to become a significant figure in the new DCU, with her own movie titled Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow on the horizon. The character is first set to be introduced in Superman: Legacy, which is not slated for release until 2025.
While there is still plenty of time to make a decision, Donnelly may have an edge due to her experience voicing Supergirl in previous DC animated projects.
The casting decision for such a pivotal role in the DC Universe is of great interest to fans, and it will be intriguing to see who ultimately lands the role of Supergirl.
