NVIDIA Announces Cutting-Edge RTX Technology in Upcoming Games at GDC 2024

Before the highly anticipated Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2024 kicked off, NVIDIA made a big announcement regarding the integration of cutting-edge RTX technology in several upcoming games. Some of the major titles set to feature these advancements include “Diablo IV,” “Black Myth: Wukong,” “Eternal Calamity,” and “Star Wars: Desperados.”

“Diablo IV” is set to receive a major upgrade with enhanced ray tracing technology on March 26, 2024. This update will bring improved resolution, as well as ray-traced reflection and transparent reflection effects, adding a new level of realism to the game. The implementation of ray tracing will enhance various in-game elements such as armor, water, windows, and other reflective surfaces, while also improving light and shadow effects.

In collaboration with NVIDIA, “Star Wars: Desperados,” developed by Lucasfilm Games and Ubisoft, will utilize GeForce RTX GPUs to enhance graphics effects. This includes real-time ray tracing, DLSS 3 for frame generation, and NVIDIA Reflex technology for reducing latency, promising an enhanced gaming experience for players.

Both “Eternal Calamity” and “Black Myth: Wukong” are set to receive upgraded versions with full ray tracing technology and support for DLSS 3.5 light reconstruction technology. “Eternal Calamity” has already been released, while “Black Myth: Wukong” is scheduled for release on August 20. The implementation of full ray tracing technology in these games will significantly improve visual fidelity and realism, with “Eternal Calamity” planning to roll out the technology in stages across different areas of the game.
