Users will now have a 15-minute window to make changes to their messages by long-pressing on the message and selecting the “Edit” option. While the recipient will be notified that the message has been edited, this new feature offers a level of flexibility that was previously unavailable on Instagram.
In addition to message editing, Instagram users can now pin up to three chat histories at the top of their inbox for easy access. Users can simply swipe left or long-press on the chat history and select the “Pin” option. There is also a new toggle switch to disable read receipts, allowing users to maintain their privacy in their conversations.
Furthermore, Instagram has introduced new themes for chats, giving users the option to customize their messaging experience. Users can also now save their favorite stickers in DM for quick access by pressing and holding on the sticker.
