NVIDIA Unveils Unified Control Center “NVIDIA App” in Beta Testing
After years of operating as separate programs, NVIDIA has finally integrated its driver control panel and GeForce Experience into a single unified control center called the “NVIDIA App.” The new software is now in the beta testing stage and available for download to all users.
The decision to combine the two programs comes as a welcome change for users of NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards. While the modern user interface of GeForce Experience has been widely praised, the outdated interface logic of the driver control panel has been a point of contention. Additionally, having to use two separate programs to adjust graphics card-related options has been seen as cumbersome.
With the release of the NVIDIA App, users can now access a unified control center for their GPUs. The app features a homepage where users can see their game library and access various extended application software such as NVIDIA Broadcast video and audio control tool, NVIDIA Omniverse content creation tool, and the FrameView performance measurement tool.
One notable improvement in the NVIDIA App is the ability to view driver information directly within the software, eliminating the need to open a separate web page. The graphics control section has also been revamped, offering global settings and program settings in a more modern interface.
In addition, the NVIDIA App includes screen overlay and recording functions that were previously available in GeForce Experience. The app supports up to 4K/120p or 8K/60p recording, with video traffic reaching up to 250 Mbps.
AI filters can also be applied to games through the NVIDIA App, including RTX Dynamic Vibrance and RTX HDR.
Notably, users can access all of these features without logging in personal information. However, rewards on the redemption page may require logging in to an account, using the same account used by GeForce Experience.
During the beta test, users can log in to redeem reward packages for “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023)” while supplies last. Looking ahead, NVIDIA has confirmed that the NVIDIA App will be a combination package, allowing users to choose the functions they want to use during the installation process.
