Ricoh Image Announces Suspension of Orders for Popular GR III and GR IIIx Cameras
In a surprising move, Japan’s Ricoh Image has announced the suspension of orders for two of its popular compact digital cameras, the GR III and GR IIIx. The main reason cited for this decision is the excessive demand for these cameras, with increased production capacity still unable to meet the order demand.
The Ricoh GR III was launched in 2018, while the GR IIIx followed in 2021. Despite their age, both cameras have continued to maintain amazing market popularity. The two products share a large amount of resources and are only differentiated through their 28mm and 40mm optics.
