Sony Delays Launch of “Bloodborne Racing” Due to Branding Issue
A developer’s attempt to create a spinoff of the popular game “Bloodborne” has hit a snag as Sony has intervened, causing a delay in the game’s launch. The game, titled “Bloodborne Racing”, is a meme-inspired online game that combines the gameplay of Mario Kart with the world view of the original “Bloodborne”.
Developer Lilith Walther, who is a fan of the original game, had initially scheduled the launch of “Bloodborne Racing” for January 31st. However, Sony recently contacted her, requesting that the branding of the game be scrubbed, leading to a delay in the launch.
In a tweet, Walther assured fans that the game will still be released, albeit with some modifications to the content. The game’s direct use of the “Bloodborne” settings has led to Sony’s intervention, but it seems that with some alterations, the game will eventually see the light of day.
Some netizens have speculated that Sony’s attention to “Bloodborne Racing” may indicate a renewed interest in the original game, potentially hinting at the possibility of a sequel or other related works in the future.
It remains to be seen how the branding issue will be resolved and when the modified version of “Bloodborne Racing” will be released. Stay tuned for updates.
