Skybound Games Crowdfunding for AAA Invincible Game
Skybound Games, known for producing smaller Invincible projects in the past, is now seeking funding to create a AAA Invincible game. The studio has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Republic, aiming to raise $5 million for the project.
The game will be produced by a team of 30+ veterans from companies like EA, Activision Blizzard, and Amazon Games. With $18 million already raised from investors, Skybound is turning to fans to ensure they have the necessary funds to develop the game properly.
Fans have already pledged $450,000 towards the campaign, with a deadline of April 30, 2024 approaching. Backers can pledge anywhere from $100 to $5 million to support the project.
The Republic page states, “By developing this game in-house, under the full control of our team of franchise stakeholders and Invincible IP creator Robert Kirkman himself, we are creating a coveted game guaranteed to feature comics, global hit TV shows and serious Fans of gamers are completely attracted by this unprecedented invincible experience.”
The game is expected to offer tons of action, amazing gameplay, character design, and of course, a healthy dose of blood. While there is no mention of a production timeline, it is clear that the game is still in the early stages of funding.
