Sony’s new audio product line consists of speakers and headphones and is called ULT. It promises the “ultimate power sound for bassline obsessives” – and is primarily aimed at younger users.
Sony introduces ULT POWER SOUND series
Hip-hop, techno, dubstep… even ordinary pop songs have one thing in common: The bass plays an important role. Sony’s new range aims to address this issue and give bass fans what they may be missing elsewhere. The series consists of wireless speakers and headphones that, according to the manufacturer, can play “sound with goosebumps guaranteed”. Here is an overview of the 4 new models:

Sony ULT Tower 10 Bluetooth-Party-Lautsprecher

The largest box is the ULT TOWER 10. It is a 111 cm high speaker with 360° party sound and 360° party lighting. Weighs 29 kg and costs 1,199 euros (RRP).

The ULT FIELD 7 is a large – but still portable – Bluetooth speaker. Falls into the category colloquially referred to as “ghetto blasters.” Around 51 cm wide, weight: 6.3 kg. Price: 449 euros (RRP).

The ULT FIELD 1 is downright handy, the Bluetooth speaker measures around 21 cm wide and weighs 650 g. Available for 139.99 euros (RRP).

The fourth product is headphones: The ULT WEAR promises fat bass, just like its loudspeaker colleagues. As it should be these days, with Active Noise Canceling (ANC). At 199.99 euros (RRP) it is well below the current Sony top model WH-1000XM5 (check it out on Amazon).
All products in the ULT POWER SOUND series can be ordered now. Because of all the bass, Sony has commendably not forgotten the environment, because the new products presented here recycled plastic used.
