Nintendo’s popular Amiibo series is set to launch its final character, Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series, on February 16th. The Amiibo figures, known for their faithful recreations of game characters and NFC technology, have been a hit among collectors since 2015.
Sora will be the last character in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Amiibo series, as the game’s creator, Masahiro Sakurai, has indicated that there are no plans for further additions to the series. With the final DLC fighter arriving, it seems that no more Amiibo will be added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate until the next game is released, with no news yet on when that may be.
The addition of Sora as the final fighter in the series follows the conclusion of the second season pass for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in 2021. The eagerly anticipated launch of the Sora Amiibo is sure to excite both fans of the Kingdom Hearts series and collectors of the popular Nintendo Amiibo figures.
