The new farm simulation game “Lightyear Frontier” developed by the Swedish team Frame Break has opened a free demo version on Steam. The game is expected to be released in early access in March this year.
As previously introduced, “Lightyear Frontier” is a colonial adventure game that uses mechas to colonize wastelands. With the help of multi-functional mechas and tool guns, players can open up new territories on new planets, build new homes, and investigate The untold story behind this planet.
In this demo, players can learn how to operate the mecha, pick up equipment such as seed launchers, irrigation pipes, sprout cannons, and gravity harvesters, and then build their own base. With new tools, you can easily set up temporary tents and mecha factories, and build basic facilities by collecting wood and stone to produce vegetable oil, aluminum products, etc. Each time you obtain new items, you can further unlock new technologies and artifacts.
The game will also start with the task of cleaning up the area around Pinewood Highlands as a preliminary environmental exploration, allowing players to understand the basic performance of mechas and check surrounding resources. The graphics and art of the game itself are commendable.
