French health monitoring device brand Withings has launched its new ScanWatch Nova, providing a tough and durable option for users interested in steel strap watches.
The ScanWatch Nova boasts a design similar to a diving watch and will be available in three colors: blue, green, and black. The case and strap are constructed of stainless steel, giving the watch a weight of about 132g, almost twice as heavy as the Apple Watch Ultra 2. The watch features a two-pin design, a stainless steel case with a sapphire surface, and a small OLED display, all of which are controlled by pressing and turning the crown up and down. The watch also comes with a silicone strap of the same color for users who prefer that material.
In terms of functionality, the ScanWatch Nova has a comprehensive range of health monitoring features, including ECG electrocardiogram, day/night heart rate monitoring, sleep sensing and quality score, blood oxygen level, respiratory rate, 24/7 body temperature monitoring, and more. The watch also supports the Withings Health Mate mobile app, providing a seamless interface for monitoring health data.
Although the ScanWatch Nova is heavier than traditional smartwatches, it offers a full range of features, making it an attractive option for consumers who like traditional steel-band diving watches. With a PCM rating of 4.5/5, the ScanWatch Nova seems to meet the needs of most users and comes with a price of $4,998.
