Bungie Hosts Destiny 2: The Final Shape Gameplay Preview Livestream

Bungie hosted a Destiny 2: The Final Shape gameplay preview livestream last night, showcasing major excitement for the upcoming final expansion in Destiny 2’s Light and Darkness Saga.

During the livestream, Bungie focused on key aspects of the expansion, including the introduction of a new subclass called Prismatic, a new type of Exotic armor, and a new enemy faction.

The Prismatic subclass allows Guardians to combine elements from different subclasses to create powerful new builds that deal both Light and Darkness damage. With a more open design, players can expect a larger collection of Aspects and Fragments to further enhance their build options.

The Exotic armor introduced in The Final Shape will be specific to the Prismatic subclass, with perks that can be randomly rolled and borrowed from other Exotic armor shards. This unique feature will allow players to mix and match perks from different armor pieces, providing new and exciting gameplay possibilities.

In addition to the new subclass and Exotic armor, players will also face a new enemy faction known as Dread. This faction includes Tormentors, Subjugators, aerial Grims, melee bruiser Husk, Stasis-wielding Attendants, and Strand-using Weavers. Players must be cautious, as defeated enemies release Geists that seek to drag Guardians into the afterlife.

The gameplay trailer for Destiny 2: The Final Shape offers a glimpse of the action-packed content coming in the expansion. Players can also revisit the recently released expansion, Into the Light, in the launch trailer.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape is set to launch on June 4, 2024, on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. Fans can watch the full gameplay preview livestream for a closer look at all the exciting new features coming to the game.
