**”Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown” Marks a Return to the Original Side-Scrolling Action Game Style**
The “Prince of Persia” series, which first launched in 1989, is making a comeback with the release of “Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown”. Developed by Ubisoft’s Montpellier team, the game combines the charm of the original series with a new “Metroidvania-like game” structure.
The game marks a return to the side-scrolling action game style of the original “Prince of Persia”, combined with the “Metroidvania” structure that has garnered attention in recent years. Players will take on the role of Sargon, a young Persian warrior, who must navigate through a series of dangerous obstacles and hostile environments in order to rescue the Prince of Persia. As with other “Metroidvania-like games”, players will start with limited abilities and gradually unlock new skills and abilities as they progress through the game.
“Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown” offers a diverse combat system, with the protagonist Sargon wielding double swords, bows and arrows, and Frisbees, which can be continuously strengthened to combat enemies and disarm traps. The combat feel is similar to “Souls” works, requiring players to pay close attention to enemy movements, parry, avoid, and counterattack. The game also features special moves and accessories to adjust the combat style and create different combo combinations.
The game offers different difficulty levels and prompts, allowing both novice and experienced players to enjoy the game. Additionally, the hardware requirements are not high, with the game offering a completely smooth 60fps effect on the Lenovo Legion Go handheld console.
“Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown” is available for the NINTENDO SWITCH, PC, PLAYSTATION 4, PLAYSTATION 5, XBOX ONE, and XBOX SERIES X|S, with a price tag of HK$368 for PC. It is set to bring a fresh and exciting experience to both new and longtime fans of the “Prince of Persia” series.
