Kyodo News to Hold Symphony Concert for “Furien Buried” Anime

Japan’s Kyodo News has announced that they will be holding a symphony concert for the popular animation “Furien Buried” (Buried Florian) at the Yokohama International Peace Conference Center (Pacifico Yokohama) on August 21, 2024. The concert will coincide with the release of the upcoming “Furien Buried” animation soundtrack, which will also come with a pre-sale ticket application coupon.

The symphony concert will be conducted by Tajiri Manaka and performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra with a complete orchestral arrangement. Classic animation clips will be played in the background, accompanied by a wonderful symphonic accompaniment. The well-known American animation composer Evan Call and female singer Milet will also be making guest appearances, performing the ending songs “Anytime Anywhere” and “Bliss”.

“Furien Buried” is a fantasy comic originally written by Yamada Nakato and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. It tells the adventure story of the elf magician Frilian and the brave group after the Demon King was defeated. The TV animation is produced by Madhouse and directed by Keiichiro Saito. In addition to the gorgeous voice cast, the opening and ending songs are also a highlight.

The ending song “Anytime Anywhere” and the special ED/insert song “bliss” of the two seasons of the animation were well received for their lyrics and melody that conveyed the touching memories and restrained emotions of the series. Both were arranged by Evan Call, and milet wrote and sang the lyrics himself.

The animated soundtrack of “The Burial of Florian” will be released on April 17 and will include 70 BGM songs from the play. It also comes with a pre-sale application ticket for the symphony concert. The official will draw 5 lucky people from the pre-sale ticket application to have the chance to play with Evan Call, take two photos together, and receive an autograph.
