Which brand offers the best TVs? According to Stiftung Warentest, LG is one of the three best television brands. PR/Business Insider
Since 2020, Stiftung Warentest has tested 244 different televisions from the ten brands Amazon, Grundig, Hisense, LG, Metz, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sony and We by Loewe.
However, only individual models were evaluated, not the brands. Based on the test results from Stiftung Warentest, we have determined average grades for the various brands.
The best television brand is therefore LG. Sony and Samsung come in second and third place.

Stiftung Warentest has since 2020 244 different televisions tested. The results of these tests are regularly published in new issues of the monthly “Test” magazine (most recently: February 2024). The televisions are taken into account the following criteria were examined:

Power consumption

Which TV brand is best?
The 244 televisions tested came from the ten brands Amazon, Grundig, Hisense, LG, Metz, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sony and We by Loewe. These are current 213 still available. Stiftung Warentest However, only evaluates individual models, not the brands. That’s why we have the 213 models available sorted by manufacturerdie Total grades for the respective televisions are added together and on the Number of tested devices divided per brand. This enabled us to Average grades calculate for the different manufacturers.
Why is this interesting? The best models are usually also the most expensive, which isn’t always the most realistic choice. Notice: Strictly speaking is actually Metz the best television brand. The two models examined were rated 2.0 and 2.8 (overall 2.4). However, since the sample is significantly smaller than that of the manufacturers mentioned above, we have excluded the brand from this ranking.
