It is believed that Porto will apply a similar approach tonight while targeting opportunities for counterattacks. Former Arsenal defender Matthew Upson hopes his juniors can start strong and equalize the score as early as possible.

“There is a winning feel for Arsenal, in terms of the rhythm the team has. The results in the away game were very disappointing, considering the general performance which at that time was very measurable,” said Matthew Upson in BBC Radio 5 Live.

“It was a very controlled game in terms of ball possession and passing, but there were zero shots on goal. And I think that was the key tonight.”

“I fully expect Mikel Arteta to set his team on fire from the start. They started the match incredibly fast at home and they just need to be more aggressive in front of goal,” he added.
