Elections in France, Mélenchon the most voted by Muslims

PARIS – The vote of French Muslims went en masse towards Jean-Luc Mélenchon. Nearly seven out of ten chose the radical left leader in the first round of Sunday’s presidential election, according to an Ifop study for La Croix newspaper. Mélenchon had already reached first place in this electorate five years ago with 37% but this time he gets a plebiscite: 69% of the preferences.
