Graphics comparison between Xbox and PlayStation

Check out a new video comparing Dragon’s Dogma 2 graphics between the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 faces a graphics comparison! The versions of the Xbox Series X/S and the PlayStation 5 are compared with each other.

  • Xbox Series S: Dynamic 1440p/~35fps – Temporal reconstruction and unlocked frame rate
  • Xbox Series X: Dynamic 2160p/~40fps – Temporal reconstruction and unlocked frame rate
  • PlayStation 5: Dynamic 2160p/~38fps – Temporal reconstruction and unlocked frame rate

Dragon’s Dogma 2 features a single graphics mode on all three consoles and uses ray tracing for global illumination on PC, PS5 and XSX. The Xbox Series S does not offer ray tracing.

All three console versions have an unlocked frame rate. Ray tracing cannot be disabled on the XSX and PS5, which does not affect shadows and reflections. It is also not possible to fix the frame rate at 30fps. This means the frame rate on all consoles is 30 to 45fps. The Xbox Series X has a minimal advantage here of up to 3fps. Load times are slightly faster on the PS5 than on the Xbox Series X/S and the shadows are better displayed to a certain extent.
