Las Vegas – On February 11th, the grand finale of the football season will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas: the Super Bowl 2024. After close semi-final duels, two NFL heavyweights, the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, will meet. And also the famous one Super Bowl halftime show is likely to cause a stir. Here you can find out when the performance will take place, who will be performing and where you can watch the spectacle live on TV and stream.
Super Bowl 2024: When will the halftime show take place?
- Super Bowl LVIII between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs will take place on the night of Sunday, February 11th to Monday, February 12th. Kickoff is at 12:30 a.m. German time.
- The halftime show begins after the second quarter, probably between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. The break usually lasts 20 to 30 minutes, of which the performance takes up to 15 minutes. The gig should be over by 2:30 a.m. at the latest.
Super Bowl 2024: The halftime show runs live on free TV and stream here
- The TV channel RTL shows the Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs and therefore also the halftime show live on free TV. The broadcast on RTL starts on Sunday, February 11th at 11:15 p.m. German time. The game starts at 12:30 a.m.
- RTL also offers a parallel live stream, which can be accessed with a valid subscription via the RTL+ streaming service.
- The streaming service DAZN also broadcasts Super Bowl LVIII and the halftime show live. DAZN will broadcast on Sunday, February 11th, from 11:30 p.m.
- To receive DAZN, you also need a valid subscription.
Super Bowl 2024 halftime show: Who will perform?
- The main act of the halftime show at the Super Bowl 2024 is the R&B singer Usher. He is expected to take the stage at Allegiant Stadium between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. German time on the night of Sunday, February 11th to Monday, February 12th.
- Some guest appearances alongside Usher are also possible. However, the NFL has not yet commented on this.
- Before the game, numerous other musicians will perform from around 11.30 p.m. Pop artist Gwen Stefani, soul and R&B artist Andra Day and DJ Tiesto are on the program.
- And country musician Reba McEntire sings the US national anthem (“The Star-Spangled Banner”) before Super Bowl LVIII begins. Rapper Post Malone also performs “America The Beautiful” before kickoff.
Usher wants to put on a show “like never before” during halftime of the 2024 Super Bowl
The main act of the 2024 Super Bowl is called Usher. The American, known for hits like “Yeah!” and “U Remind Me,” wants to offer the world a show “like they’ve never seen from me before,” the 45-year-old announced in advance.

This is Usher’s second appearance in the halftime show of the NFL finals. In 2011 he performed his song “OMG” alongside rapper will.i.am from “The Black Eyed Peas”. However, this year’s gig is his first as headlining the show. (wuc)
