Among the most visited main cities in Colombia are Medellín and Bogotá and the connection between these is several hours traveling by land, but by plane the difference is smaller.
These two young people recorded the journey on both means of transportation, in order to determine how long it took each other, and which option would be the best.
They both started their journey in the same place and at the same time, this was at 5:55 in the morning.
Carlos traveled by plane, but he could not go by taxi, his means of transportation had to be public service, while Santiago grabbed his motorcycle and drove via Guaduas to take the Ruta del Sol.
While Carlos was taking off, at 9:34 in the morning, Santiago had already entered the department of Antioquia and was a few minutes away from arriving at the municipality of Rionegro, in order to pass through the air terminal.
The flight landed at 10:03 in the morning, and Carlos had to find a bus to get from Rionegro to the meeting point. That took him about 25 minutes, since he had to wait in line to leave the airport; while Santiago could not take the Eastern Tunnel, so he detoured and entered via Las Palmas.
The winner of this tour was Santiago and his motorcycle, who arrived at the meeting place at 11:31 in the morning, taking five and a half hours.
On the other hand, Carlos managed to be there at 11:51 in the morning, and between the two, there was a difference of 20 minutes. They were surprised, since they could not believe that by motorcycle the journey would be less than by plane.
Traveling from Bogotá to Medellín by car costs approximately 85,600 pesos, it is 480 kilometers and 6 tolls, while by bus the value is 105,000 pesos, according to the Pinbus platform. By plane it is relatively 136,000 pesos, according to the Google Travel platform.
