Seir Contreras Expelled by Chavismo Despite Claims of Inclusivity

Jorge Rodríguez, a prominent figure in the Chavismo movement, made statements on Wednesday claiming that all pre-candidates were being heard in the decision-making process. However, a viral recording soon emerged on social media showing the moment when Seir Contreras was denied entry into the Session Chamber of the Federal Legislative Palace.

“The Barbados agreement is a document that we have fully respected, absolutely attached to what is established. I want to tell the country that we are here, what we are, the vast majority of Venezuela were here in the Elliptical Hall,” Rodríguez stated before the state television cameras.

In the leaked video, Contreras is seen speaking with a security guard who informs her that she is not allowed to enter the chamber, despite her desire to do so. This incident has raised questions about the true inclusivity of the decision-making process within Chavismo.

The recent days have been marked by debates among Chavismo and related candidates as they work to define their proposals for the upcoming electoral schedule. These proposals are set to be submitted to the CNE on Friday for further consideration.

The expulsion of Contreras, despite claims of inclusivity, has sparked controversy within the Chavismo movement and raised concerns about the transparency and fairness of the decision-making process.
