Russia, the ax also on foreign journalists: a Dutch correspondent expelled

FLY – Not just the local media. Foreign correspondents are also falling under the shadow of censorship in Russia. Three months after the expulsion of the British Sarah Rainsford of Bbc, the Moscow correspondent of the Dutch newspaper was expelled from the Federation Volkskrant, Tom Vennink.

After six years of correspondence from Moscow, Vennink had his visa withdrawn on Monday and yesterday Wednesday he had to return to the Netherlands.
