New York – From Inspector Callaghan to IRobot, the San Francisco Police is preparing for a historic breakthrough: adopting “robot cops” capable of killing for the first time. The vote is scheduled for November 29 and will concern a text drawn up by a technical commission which envisages the use of robots to kill in operations where there is an “imminent danger” for people and police forces and where other options will not be deemed sufficient.
