Security in Jalisco: Before killing two women at a school in Guadalajara, the attacker had already murdered one more

A gruesome double homicide shocked the residents of Jalisco when two female workers were brutally murdered with a sharp weapon inside a private university. Jalisco prosecutor Luis Joaquín Méndez revealed that the perpetrator may have been involved in another similar case just hours before.

The grim discovery was made at around 8:30 p.m. at a motel located on Washington Avenue, not far from the university where the initial killings took place. Video evidence from the motel helped link the same individual to both crimes, as his appearance and clothing matched.

According to Méndez, the suspect entered the motel with a woman around 2:00 p.m., but the nature of their relationship remains unknown. After leaving the motel, the assailant then made his way to the university campus, where he savagely attacked the two workers.

The arrest of the suspect was made possible thanks to a bystander who alerted authorities to the ongoing violence. Upon arrival, police found the two deceased women and a young male employee injured but still alive. The perpetrator was barricaded inside a classroom, but was eventually apprehended.

The motive behind the killings remains unclear, with Méndez noting that the suspect appeared “out of his mind” at the time of the attacks. Further investigation into the suspect’s background revealed a possible connection to online messaging groups focused on crime stories.

Méndez also hinted at the possibility of the suspect being involved in other similar murders, possibly indicating a pattern of violence. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Gabriel “N”, has been transferred to the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office for further legal proceedings.

In response to the tragedy, the governor of Jalisco expressed his shock and condolences to the victims’ families and the university community. He vowed to ensure that the perpetrator faces the consequences of his heinous actions.

The case has left the community reeling as they struggle to come to terms with the senseless violence that has shattered their sense of security. Authorities continue their investigation to uncover the full extent of the suspect’s actions and provide justice for the victims.
