Sophie Elise now responds to the criticism against eating the placenta

– It’s not that deep, says the influencer to his followers on Snapchat.

This week, Sophie Elise Isachsen (29) shared her desire to eat his placenta. It provoked enormously strong reactions on social media.

Now she is fighting back.

– Someone said “think of your son if he is bullied for this”. I just have to laugh, how in the world does that happen? Then it is the parents of the children who are the problem, who have said “do you know what his mother did”, she says on her own Snapchat channel.

She goes on to say that she was curious and researched the phenomenon, and thought this was something for her.

Out of control

– It’s something I want to do and am looking for opportunities, what more can be said about it. It’s not that deep. Of course, if someone had told me that it’s not good for me or the baby, then it won’t happen, she continues.

Going out hard

Several larger profiles have allowed themselves to be provoked, including journalist and author Ingeborg Senneset (38). She has previously spoken out critically about placenta eating.

– After all, they also choose on behalf of the child. It can hardly be fun to start school and then all your classmates know that your mother ate the bloody lump of waste you brought with you when you were born, she says to TV 2.

Senneset points out that there are no clinically documented benefits from eating one’s own placenta. When it comes to animals, however, this is common.

– Dogs can do that, but they also eat faeces, she says.

– An ugly thing to say

– I am so disappointed by those who will go to the media and comment on this and use the argument that my son will be bullied for it. It’s an ugly thing to say to parents-to-be, Sophie Elise continues.

The influencer explains that eating the placenta seemed relevant to her, but adds that it will not necessarily happen.

– I’ve lost my period

– I wrote on the story that I want to eat my placenta, and it got quite strong reactions. And I hate being charged with fighting matters I really don’t have, because this is not that important to me, she explains.

The first-time mother-to-be wanted to investigate what options there were for eating her own placenta. She informs her followers that she is aware that there is no documented health effect, but is not too concerned about it.

– I often think placebos can be worth something. The worst that can happen is that it has no effect, she continues.

The influencer emphasizes that she must not eat the placenta raw, if she chooses to do so.
