The Japan Airlines Airbus A350 hits the runway at Tokyo Haneda airport and catches fire. In these images, the moment in which the aircraft is engulfed in fire just moments after touching the ground.
According to initial information it would have collided with another aircraft on the runway, probably belonging to the Coast Guard and involved in post-earthquake operations. All 379 people on board, including passengers and crew members, were evacuated, the broadcaster NHK reports, citing Japan Airlines.
The Airbus had taken off from Sapporo on flight JL516 to Haneda, one of the busiest in Asia.
