Turin, newborn baby in waste bin. The man who found him: ‘Ready to adopt him’

by admin

A newborn baby was found on Saturday evening inside a waste bin in Villanova Canavese, in the province of Turin. A local 15-year-old noticed the child and, having heard the cries, asked his parents for help. The boy’s father, a 49-year-old worker, found the baby, a male, in a plastic bag, with the placenta and umbilical cord still attached. The 49-year-old immediately called for help.

The man who rescued him: “Available to adopt him”

“It was a very strong emotion. I hope that the mother or whoever made this gesture will think again and go to the hospital to look for her baby” said the man who, together with his family, has already said he is willing to adopt the little one: “I have already made this known to the police and I would have no problem recognizing him as my son. It would be nice, I know it is a long process and far from simple, but we are available”.

The intervention of the police

The 118 health workers and the Carabinieri immediately intervened on site and assisted the newborn and transported him to the Ciriè hospital. According to what we learn from investigative sources, the child is well. The military personnel are investigating the matter. The Carabinieri of the mobile radio operations unit have not identified any obvious surveillance systems in the area and are trying to reconstruct what happened.
